RLCC YOUTH MISSION

TO CONNECT PEOPLE WITH JESUS......RLCC YOUTH meets every Sunday Night 5:00-7:00 pm. This group is for grades 6th-12th. Our services are filled with time to connect with each other through games and most importantly connect with God through worship, the message, and so much more.

MISSION STATEMENT: Real youth, serving a real God, offering real life!

Our mission: To equip and connect the youth to Jesus, to have a relationship with Him, and to use their gifts for the Lord. Our mission is to create a safe environment where everyone can create meaningful relationships and be themselves, and then connect clearly with Jesus. We are a family at RLCC YOUTH, and we love to have fun, but we also love to take that serious time to connect with Jesus and have that personal encounter with Him. Every Sunday Night/morning our goal is to make students feel right at home as soon as they walk in the door. From the moment they walk in, our desire is to connect with students, get to know their interests, family life, school life, etc., and create conversations that cultivate growth in relationships.

We also desire for students to connect with other students through fun activities/game nights to first create a trust/connection with each other and then a desire to go deeper with God. This is the reason why we don’t do a typical youth service. Our services focus on drawing the kids out with fun titles/theme nights and creating an atmosphere to build trust and love through games easily, then we go after God with all of our hearts. We realize that students/the upcoming generations just want a place to feel loved and accepted, and we want to provide this in a Godly way to students.

RLCC YOUTH NIGHTS - THEMED hangouts

RLCC YOUTH - Grades 6th through 12th meet together for their weekly service every Sunday 2:00-4:00pm 

WHAT TO EXPECT: During this time, for the first half we spend time on CONNECTION through games, themed games, snacks/drinks, and fun! The second half focuses on RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS through group devotions and messages, giving time, worship (occasionally), and breakout group discussions to bring students closer to God. 

WEEKLY DEVOTIONS AT HOME: This year we are focusing on giving students devotions to take home during the week that go along with the message that Sunday. 

CONVERGE: Middle + High SCHOOL connection group
1st sunday

What is Converge? This group is designed specifically for the middle schoolers (Grades 6th-12th) who are transitioning out of kids church and into youth. This is the perfect start for your child to get plugged in outside of the youth group. In this group, your child will get to know other middle schoolers at RLCC, as well as connect with the leaders/pastor in youth. Additionally, your child will get to have fun with connection games, ice breakers, and a message brought by Pastor Carissa. 

This is the first and third Sunday of every month - Students will be dismissed after announcements and finish when the church ends!

Converge - kids - collab Leadership opportunity

The 3rd Sunday of every month - Converge 6th-12th grade - the students will help Pastor Carissa teach and run the kids church service after worship. This will be an opportunity for Pastor Carissa to coach students and give them the opportunity to build relationships.

Real youth worship - Lessons for 2026 - sign up for a slot

In RLCC YOUTH, we believe that no matter the age, a student can be used for God! We have Real Youth Worship workshops happening once a month right after church till around 1:15/1:30.

In these lesson slots, your child gets trained on an instrument, how to work as a team, what worship is, etc. If your child doesn't play any instruments but wants to learn, they will get the opportunity during the practices. We will be training students specifically with chords on an instrument. These lessons are professional lessons to help the students grow to eventually join the worship team in youth/adult. 

Youth Prayer missionary workshop

This workshop will happen once a month 1:15-1:45pm before youth! This workshop is designed to lead students to be leaders/missionaries in their own areas and schools! We train students on how to pray for themselves, pray for their schools, and areas. We will have each student adopt a school in prayer. Students who adopt a school in prayer become campus missionaries set to pray and report back to Pastor Carissa/Leader each month. This teaches spirituality, accountability, and responsibility. 

PENNDEL YOUTH ALIVE zoom workshop also has training on how to start Bible clubs. This workshop is designated specially to being a prayer campus missionary. 

OUR BIG EVENTS - outside of youth nights

WINTER: PENNDEL YOUTH - WINTER RETREAT
RLCC YOUTH takes a weekend away by traveling to Carlisle, PA for PENNDELYOUTH's Winter Retreat. This is a retreat hosted by the Penndel Assemblies of God District.

SUMMER: RLCC YOUTH CAMP + Guppy Gulch

FALL: RLCC YOUTH ALL-NIGHTER
Join us at the church for our once a year all-nighter/senior recognition night. We stay up all night playing games and running around the entire church.
TWICE A YEAR: GIRLS NIGHT/GUYS NIGHT - 5:00-8:00pm
Join us for a girls night/guys night when we go have a fun themed night for each group and connect one on one! Typically happens at Pastor Carissa's house!
